The Foundation's mission is to request, receive, and administer contributions for
advanced educational opportunities for students in the Chippewa Falls School District.
The Foundation also manages these assets as determined by specific scholarship or program
instructions, as designated by the donor(s), or in an appropriate manner that will allow
the Foundation to provide broad benefits for the students, staff, and educational community.
Mission
History
The Chippewa Falls community has a rich heritage, enoying a reputation as an excellent
environment for quality family lifestyles. One cornerstone that has helped instill community
pride and ensure success for our children is the excellent education provided by our public
school system. With escalating societal pressures and global economic competition, quality
education is critical.
Realizing that tomorrow's youth will face significant challenges, concerned citizens created the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District Foundation in 1987. Also known as the Chippewa Falls School Foundation, the organization was established solely to help our young people achieve life's goals through increased educational opportunities.
More than $165,000 in scholarship aid was given to over 170 recipients in the first ten years of the Foundation's existence. While the Foundation directors expect the majority of contributions will specify scholarship activity, they also welcome other offerings that may enrich the quality of education for our youth.

Administration
While the Foundation works with people involved in the local educational system, it is
independent of any political, school board, or school administration jurisdiction. Simply stated,
the Foundation is "a friend of education."
The Foundation's Board of Directors, who serve voluntarily, is composed of members of the community who share a concern that graduates of the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District have ample post-secondary education as well as a concern for continued educational improvement of the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District.
In order to obtain an optimum, yet safe, return on the Foundation investments, the Board of Directors elected to have a professional manager provide financial guidance.
